AUSTRALIE

L’Australie est le pays qui a inventé le WWOOF : Willing Workers On Organic Farms, système d’échange de travail « cool » contre logement et nourriture. Le guide WWOOF compte des centaines d’adresses de fermes bio et d’ecovillages.

Citons tout de même des pionniers :

 Crystal Waters Permaculture Village, NAMBOUR, 65 Kilcoy Lane, Conondale, Queensland 4552, crystalwaters.org.au. Créé en 1985 par des pionniers des années 70, 130 habitants sur 260 ha, rivière, sources dont l’eau pure est stockée par 17 barrages formant des lacs autour  desquels la plupart des habitations sont installées. Pourrait accueillir jusqu’à 3000 habitants. Climat tempéré.

NOUVELLE ZELANDE

Comme en Australie, très nombreuses fermes bio et ecovillages. Se référer par exemple au guide WWOOF de ce pays.

TAHITI & POLYNESIE, ILES COOK, NOUVELLE CALEDONIE, VANUATU, WALLIS et FUTUNA, etc.

De très nombreux villages traditionnels du Pacifique pratiquent une agriculture bio de fait, puisqu’ils n’utilisent ni pesticides ni engrais. Il est souvent possible de partager le quotidien d’une famille accueillante pendant quelques jours. Plusieurs projets d’écovillages sont en cours.

Force politique influente. Innovations : burger de soja, véhicules électrosolaires longues distances, chauffage passif solaire, etc. Une école, une radio… 15 000 visiteurs par an, stagiaires.
